European boxing champion Kachanovsky dies at 61
European boxing champion and honored master of sports of the USSR Vitaly Kachanovsky died in Moscow. His death was reported on the website of the Russian Boxing Federation. Vitaly Nikolayevich died on Monday, December 14, 3 days after his 61st birthday. The cause of death and the date of farewell to the athlete have not yet been announced.
Kachanovsky entered the boxing world in 1975. Honored coach of the Ukrainian SSR Vladimir Kushnir prepared him for performances in the professional ring. At the amateur level, Vitaly Nikolaevich fought 221 light heavyweight fights, of which 207 ended in his triumph.
In 1988, when Kachanovsky hung up his gloves on a nail, he began to engage in social activities: he popularized sports among the youth of Russia and Ukraine.
